{"id":1601,"date":"2014-02-14T12:46:06","date_gmt":"2014-02-14T12:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/?p=1601"},"modified":"2014-02-14T12:46:06","modified_gmt":"2014-02-14T12:46:06","slug":"crowe-urges-consumers-to-be-mindful-of-banking-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/crowe-urges-consumers-to-be-mindful-of-banking-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowe urges consumers to be mindful of banking charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Speaking following the release of new research into the cost of consumer banking, Deputy Se\u00e1n Crowe encouraged all consumers to make themselves aware of day-to-day fees related to their current account.<\/p>\n<p>A survey, carried out by the National Consumer Agency was released this week and found that 14% of current account users were unaware about whether or not they pay fees.<\/p>\n<p>The Dublin South West Deputy said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBanking fees can become significant throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s vitally important that people make themselves aware about what they are charged for current account banking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsing a laser card and receiving cash back in store can often lower ATM fees.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Crowe concluded:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would also urge people to shop around in an attempt to get the best deal from your bank.
