{"id":3549,"date":"2018-08-03T09:46:21","date_gmt":"2018-08-03T09:46:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/?p=3549"},"modified":"2018-08-03T09:46:21","modified_gmt":"2018-08-03T09:46:21","slug":"crowe-calls-on-lloyds-pharmacy-to-respect-labour-court-decision","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/crowe-calls-on-lloyds-pharmacy-to-respect-labour-court-decision\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowe calls on Lloyds Pharmacy to respect Labour Court decision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dublin South West Sinn F\u00e9in TD, Se\u00e1n Crowe, has called on Lloyds Pharmacy to respect the findings of the Labour Court and implement its decision regarding union recognition for 190 workers employed at the company.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Se\u00e1n Crowe said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe current dispute between Mandate trade union and Lloyds Pharmacy is about pay and work conditions, sick pay, zero hour contracts and union recognition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Irish Labour Court recently said that Lloyds should recognise Mandate as the trade union who represents over 190 workers at the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLloyds Pharmacy for whatever reasons refuses to do so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company currently holds contracts with the Health Service Executive (HSE) &#8211; a public state body \u2013 all the while refusing to acknowledge the Irish Labour Court &#8211; another public state body.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll too often this is the case with a small minority of Irish company\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany of these same companies will actively seek out and receive state contracts while refusing to engage with the state&#8217;s industrial relations mechanism.
