{"id":361,"date":"2012-02-02T19:19:58","date_gmt":"2012-02-02T19:19:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/crowe-challenges-british-secretary-of-state-on-dublin-and-monaghan-bombings\/"},"modified":"2012-02-02T19:19:58","modified_gmt":"2012-02-02T19:19:58","slug":"crowe-challenges-british-secretary-of-state-on-dublin-and-monaghan-bombings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/crowe-challenges-british-secretary-of-state-on-dublin-and-monaghan-bombings\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowe challenges British Secretary of State on Dublin and Monaghan Bombings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Crowe challenges British Secretary of State on Dublin and Monaghan Bombings<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sinn F\u00e9in TD Se\u00e1n Crowe today challenged the British Secretary of  State for the North Owen Patterson to meet with the Justice for the  Forgotten Group and the families of the victims of the Dublin and  Monaghan Bombings.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Crowe was speaking at the Oireachtas Good Friday Agreement  Committee where he challenged Mr Patterson on the British Government\u2019s  refusal to handover files relating to the Dublin and Monaghan Bombings.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking afterwards the Dublin South West TD said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe British Secretary of State says that his colleague William Hague  handed over a synopsis of the files in the hands of the British but  this is not good enough.\u00a0 The Irish people want full disclosure.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe British Government has refused to comply with a unanimously  passed all-party Oireachtas motion calling for full disclosure and  co-operation from the British on an inquiry into this atrocity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Irish people are not stupid.\u00a0 They know that collusion was part and parcel of Britain\u2019s dirty war in Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut this is about the victims and their families.\u00a0 They need  closure.\u00a0 Any and all files in the possession of the British authorities  relating to the Dublin and Monaghan Bombings must be handed over  immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crowe challenges British Secretary of State on Dublin and Monaghan Bombings Sinn F\u00e9in TD Se\u00e1n Crowe today challenged the British Secretary of State for the North Owen Patterson to meet with the Justice for the Forgotten Group and the families of the victims of the Dublin and Monaghan Bombings.
