Sinn F\u00e9in candidate for Dublin South West, Se\u00e1n Crowe, has outlined\nhow his party would give workers and families a break by putting money back in\ntheir pockets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Crowe said Sinn F\u00e9in would make all income under \u20ac30,000\nexempt from the USC for all workers, reduce rents and then freeze them, abolish\nthe Local Property Tax, end the insurance rip-off, reduce childcare costs and\nreintroduce the pension age at 65.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Se\u00e1n Crowe said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn Government Sinn F\u00e9in will make all income below \u20ac30,000 exempt from USC.<\/p>
\u201cThis will take one million workers out of the USC. And crucially, it will benefit all workers.<\/p>
\u201cIt will mean that no USC is paid on the first \u20ac30,000 you earn, putting up to \u20ac700 back in the pocket of every worker in the State each year. We want to see a taxation system that is fair and means everyone pays their fair share.<\/p>
\u201cSinn F\u00e9in is the only party in this election that is committed to reducing rents and then freezing them for a period of three years.<\/p>
\u201cSinn F\u00e9in will abolish the Local Property tax, introduced by Fine Gael and Labour with the support of Fianna F\u00e1il, saving families an average of \u20ac244 at current rates.<\/p>
\u201cSinn F\u00e9in is the only party that has and will take on the insurance industry and end the insurance rip-off.<\/p>
\u201cSinn F\u00e9in is the party that will reduce the huge costs of childcare.<\/p>
\u201cAnd we are the only party that will not only stop the increase in the pension age to 67 but will actually reverse it back to 65.<\/p>
