{"id":494,"date":"2012-09-07T09:20:56","date_gmt":"2012-09-07T09:20:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/tallaght-goes-without-ambulance-service-for-17-hours-crowe\/"},"modified":"2012-09-07T09:20:56","modified_gmt":"2012-09-07T09:20:56","slug":"tallaght-goes-without-ambulance-service-for-17-hours-crowe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/tallaght-goes-without-ambulance-service-for-17-hours-crowe\/","title":{"rendered":"Tallaght goes without ambulance service for 17 hours \u2013 Crowe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Tallaght\u00a0goes\u00a0without ambulance service\u00a0for 17 hours\u00a0\u2013 Crowe<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Dublin South West TD Se\u00e1n Crowe has said that the HSE cuts to  ambulance services in Tallaght and\u00a0its hinterland\u00a0are starting  to\u00a0have\u00a0impact locally.\u00a0Deputy Crowe said that\u00a0an ambulance\u00a0breakdown on  Monday\u00a0left the area\u00a0without an ambulance for 17 hours and\u00a0said that  the problem was compounded by the fact that\u00a0the nearest station in St  James had no spare vehicle.\u00a0 An ambulance was eventually sourced in  Dunshaughlin, County Meath.<\/p>\n<p>Deputy Se\u00e1n Crowe said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Monday\u00a0Tallaght\u00a0and its vast\u00a0hinterland\u00a0was left without a HSE  ambulance for\u00a0five hours after\u00a0a\u00a0breakdown and,\u00a0combined  with\u00a0the\u00a0decision to\u00a0remove the\u00a0traditional HSE ambulance\u00a0roster shift  cover, the area was left\u00a0vulnerable for approximately 17 hours.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe crew were instructed to go to the nearest station in James  Street but no spare vehicle was available.
