Sinn F\u00e9in TD for Dublin South West Se\u00e1n Crowe has welcomed the announcement by the Minister for Health Stephen that an agreement has been reached on the availability of Kaftrio, a drug for people suffering with a specific mutation of the cystic fibrosis gene.

\u201cI want to warmly welcome the announcement that Kaftrio will be made available to the 35 children who will benefit hugely from this life changing drug.
\u201cThis is a drug for people suffering with a specific mutation of the cystic fibrosis gene. There were other children already receiving it in Ireland and it is only right that all children who need it are able to access it.
\u201cThis is something that the Oireachtas Health Committee has been in regular contact with the HSE about and I am glad that the families of these 35 children have received the good news they\u2019ve fought so hard to hear.\u201d
