{"id":5344,"date":"2025-02-04T13:49:56","date_gmt":"2025-02-04T13:49:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/?p=5344"},"modified":"2025-02-04T13:49:57","modified_gmt":"2025-02-04T13:49:57","slug":"erratic-s6-s8-bus-services-undermining-confidence-in-public-transport","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/erratic-s6-s8-bus-services-undermining-confidence-in-public-transport\/","title":{"rendered":"Erratic S6 &#038; S8 bus services undermining confidence in public transport"},"content":{"rendered":"Sinn F\u00e9in TD for Dublin South West Se\u00e1n Crowe has said that the lack of reliability of the S6 and S8 bus routes that serve local areas in Tallaght and Kingswood is simply not up to the standard required and has written to the Minister for Transport asking him to take immediate action to remedy the matter. <br \/><br \/>Teachta Crowe said:<br \/><br \/>\u201cI have received numerous complaints from members of the public about the reliability and punctuality of the S6 and S8 bus routes that serve the Tallaght and Kingswood areas across to Blackrock and D\u00fan Laoghaire. Buses arriving late or not at all and buses being cancelled when they are supposedly enroute are the primary complaints. <br \/><br \/>\u201cThis is simply not good enough and is creating untold problems from people accessing work, education, childcare, just going about their everyday lives. <br \/><br \/>\u201cThere will be teething problems with BusConnects, but we have to be sure that where we hand over routes to private operators that they are in a position to provide a reliable service.
