Failing to do so, he said, would be cynical in the extreme.<br \/><br \/>Speaking after a Sinn F\u00e9in motion in the D\u00e1il on the matter last night, Teachta Crowe said:<br \/><br \/>\u201cAhead of the last election, then-Taoiseach Simon Harris said that he hoped the Occupied Territories Bill would be passed \u2018in the first year\u2019 of the new government. An Taoiseach Miche\u00e1l Martin said that he was \u2018committed now to progressing the legislation\u2019. Now, they need to show that this was not simply electioneering on their part.<br \/><br \/>\u201cThe Occupied Territories Bill is not something that can be dangled in front of the Irish electorate to win votes. If this government does not immediately move to pass the bill, it would be cynical in the extreme. Worse, it would make us complicit and party to genocide.<br \/><br \/>\u201cThere must be a ban on all trade, including services, with Israel\u2019s illegal settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem.
