Sinn F\u00e9in Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs, Trade and Diaspora, Se\u00e1n Crowe TD, has expressed his sadness and regret at the news that Hugo Ch\u00e1vez, the President of Venezuela, has died aged 58 after a two year battle with cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deputy Crowe said:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI am very saddened to hear the news that Venezuelan President Hugo Ch\u00e1vez has passed away after a brave fight with cancer.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe was an inspiration for the resurgent Latin American left and will be fondly remembered by many socialists and oppressed people worldwide.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cHe served his people with pride and was a true leader who dedicated his life to fighting poverty and inequality.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMy thoughts are with his family, friends, and comrades. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
