He served as Sinn F\u00e9in\u2019s national youth officer and was the\u00a0national organiser for the Youth Against H-Block and Armagh in 1980\/81.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from Rathfarnham in Dublin, Se\u00e1n and his wife Pamela have been living in Tallaght since they married in the eighties.<\/p>\n<h3>Se\u00e1n is a dedicated community activist:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>He has served as a member of Sinn F\u00e9in\u2019s Ard Chomhairle.<\/li>\n<li>Secretary of the Sinn F\u00e9in mission to the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation in\u00a0Dublin Castle, which predated the Good Friday Agreement negotiations.<\/li>\n<li>He also represented Sinn F\u00e9in in the multi-party negotiations that led to the Good Friday Agreement and has travelled internationally to promote the party\u2019s peace strategy.<\/li>\n<li>Se\u00e1n was first elected as a councillor on South Dublin County Council in 1999.<\/li>\n<li>He also served as a\u00a0TD for Dublin South West from 2002 to 2007.<\/li>\n<li>He was elected as a TD for the second time, for the constituency of Dublin South West, in February 2011.<\/li>\n<li>Se\u00e1n has previously served as the Sinn F\u00e9in\u2019s Education spokesperson\u00a0 and most recently as spokesperson on Foreign Affairs and Trade and Brexit in the D\u00e1il.<\/li>\n<li>Se\u00e1n has also served as Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement and co-Chair of the British-Irish Parliamentary Assembly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Se\u00e1n values his connections to the local community in Tallaght and Dublin South West. He is currently a member of numerous community organisations and groups. Se\u00e1n is a board member of St. Dominic\u2019s Contact Centre (a drugs rehabilitation centre) and Greenhills College.<\/p>\n<p>He is the Chair of the Fettercairn Community Enterprise Company, which\u00a0operates a community coffee dock and market. He is also a member of the Dublin Bus\/Luas Community Forum, the Tallaght Community Forum, the South Dublin Joint Policing Committee, the CAST (Community Addiction Studies Training) Programme in Killinarden, and the Tallaght Drugs Task Force.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Se\u00e1n Crowe joined Sinn F\u00e9in in 1976.
