{"id":4971,"date":"2022-09-22T11:57:59","date_gmt":"2022-09-22T11:57:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/?p=4971"},"modified":"2022-09-22T11:58:00","modified_gmt":"2022-09-22T11:58:00","slug":"crowe-calls-for-new-driving-test-centre-in-south-dublin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seancrowe.ie\/home\/crowe-calls-for-new-driving-test-centre-in-south-dublin\/","title":{"rendered":"Crowe calls for new driving test centre in south Dublin"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Sinn F\u00e9in TD for Dublin South West Se\u00e1n Crowe has called for a new driving test centre for south Dublin in the D\u00e1il today in response to the more than ten thousand people waiting on a test in the Tallaght testing centre. <br><br>Teachta Crowe said:<br><br>\u201cThe inability of people to access a driving test in South Dublin is one that I have been raising for many years. <br><br>\u201cThere is a waiting list of over ten thousand for the Tallaght testing centre, the highest in the country. This represents 12% of the state-wide waiting list. D\u00fan Laoghaire\/ Deansgrange has the third highest waiting list with over five thousand waiting. <br><br>\u201cMinister for Transport Eamon Ryan said in June 2021 that the backlog could be cleared within four months as we exited Covid restrictions. It is evident that this has not happened. <br><br>\u201cGiven that south Dublin\u2019s two test centres are in the top three of waiting times, I have called on this Government to commit to examining the feasibility of an additional test centre to relieve the pressure on Tallaght in particular and allow people to access driving tests without waiting for months and months.\u201d<br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sinn F\u00e9in TD for Dublin South West Se\u00e1n Crowe has called for a new driving test centre for south Dublin in the D\u00e1il today in response to the more than ten thousand people waiting on a test in the Tallaght testing centre.
