Sinn Féin TD for Dublin South West, Seán Crowe, has this week praised what he described as a fitting enactment of John B. Keane’s The Field performed in St. Anne’s GAA Club in Bohernabreena on Sunday last.

The production, brought to St. Anne’s GAA Club by the Glenasmole Drama Group was generously staged in aid of the vital Tallaght Rehabilitation Project.

Deputy Crowe claimed:

“I was delighted to attend the production of a story we all know and love in aid of the local Tallaght Rehabilitation Project. TRB is a centre that carries out fundamental support for drug and alcohol rehabilitation in our local community.

“This spirited show from the Glenasmole Drama Group not only supported the community financially but brought theatre outside the parameters of its traditional space providing accessible access to the arts.

“On behalf of the Sinn Féin representatives in attendance, I’d like to thank those performers who shone in their roles as well as the entire Glenasmole Drama Group for a passionate delivery of John B. Keane’s 1965 The Field.”
