“The introduction of an integrated ticket will be welcome news for Dublin commuters and will open up more areas and give people a greater choice. The hop on hop off value of the ticket opens up the choices available to visitors around the County or City attractions
“It will also be a bonus for people that cannot afford a car and will make it easier for the unemployed to access employment opportunities across the County.
“It will have a particular advantage for South Dublin making it much more attractive and accessible to visitors and tourists who want to use the area for a base on their holidays.
“The spin off benefit will be a welcome bonus for hard pressed tourist accommodation and venues in the County with a number of hotels already feeling the pinch and in receivership.
“The Luas extension spur to Saggart and the Citywest Conference Centre which is expected to open later this year will be another positive development.”
