Dublin South West TD, Seán Crowe, has extended his best wishes to those sitting their Junior and Leaving Certificate exams this morning.

The Sinn Féin TD has called for their friends, family and their schools to provide extra support in what can be an extremely stressful couple of weeks.

Deputy Seán Crowe said:

“I want to wish all of the students who started their Leaving and Junior Certificate exams this morning the very best of luck and every success for the future. Almost 90 curricular subjects will be sat at Higher, Ordinary and Foundation levels in Centres right across the country.

“The next couple of weeks are an accumulation of all the hard work and study done by pupils and teachers.

“It is important that students doing these exams avail of advice and support from teachers and parents so as to remain as focused and as well prepared as possible during what can be an extremely stressful time.

“I have no doubt that this year’s Leaving and Junior Cert students will do themselves and their respective schools proud. Hopefully the results they achieve will enhance their future employment prospects and prepare many for a fulfilling life ahead.”
