Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Seán Crowe TD, has stated his concern for Ibrahim Halawa after his trial in Egypt was postponed again.
Deputy Seán Crowe said:
“I am very concerned for the health and well being of Ibrahim Halawa.
“He has been in jail for over 600 days and faces no prospects of a fair trial in Egypt.
“I again call on An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, to contact directly the Egyptian President with a view to securing the release of Ibrahim Halawa and allow his safe return to his family in Dublin.”
