Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Seán Crowe TD, has extended his condolences to the family of the Labour MP, Jo Cox, who has passed away after she was attacked and killed outside her advice clinic.

Deputy Crowe said:

“I want to extend my personal sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Labour MP Jo Cox.

“Her brutal killing, just after she finished an advice clinic in her constituency, is a deeply worrying and disturbing development.

“I understand that Ms. Cox had a deep commitment to humanitarian issues and that she worked both for Oxfam and the anti-slavery charity, the Freedom Fund, before she was elected as an MP in 2015.

“My thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time.”
