Sinn Féin’s spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Seán Crowe TD, has extended his partys solidarity greetings to Syriza on polling day in Greece.

Deputy Seán Crowe said:

“This election in Greece is vitally important for the country but also the European Union..

“Syriza’s anti-austerity ideology and support for the common Greek citizens struggling under economic hardship has transformed the political landscape in Greece.

“While Syriza have been leading in the polls coming into this election I wish them every success on polling day.

“A Syriza victory today offers a real alternative and brighter future for Greece and will help build the progressive change in  Europe  that Syriza, Sinn Féin, and many others have been working for.”
