Sinn Féin’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson, Seán Crowe TD, sends his condolences to those affected by Nepal’s huge earthquake which has claimed the lives of over 1,900 people.

Deputy Seán Crowe said:

“The scale of the destruction and the death toll are immense.

“I send my condolences to all those affected.

“Nepal is a popular destination for Irish tourists and I know that the Department of Foreign Affairs are eagerly trying to contact any Irish people in the country.

“Aid workers are bravely working to remove rubble and save lives, including those from Irish NGOs.

“I urge people to do all they can to support these rescue efforts.”
