Crowe Welcomes Green Light for LUAS

Dublin South West Sinn Féin TD Seán Crowe has welcomed today’s announcement by An Bord Pleanála that the LUAS City centre link up is to proceed.

Deputy Seán Crowe said:

“This is a good news story for Dublin and for those who have commute in and out of the City centre for business or pleasure.

“Integrating the City’s public transport system makes common sense and benefits businesses, citizens and visitors alike.

“Today’s long awaited ‘green light’ for the LUAS BXD project will also hopefully bring much needed employment to the City.

” An additional benefit will of course  be the linking up of the City centre line with the new proposed Dublin Institute of Technology Campus at Grangegorman.

“Of course the icing on the cake would be the completion of the project in time for the 2016 Centenary Celebrations.” ENDS
